Stanford to help lead new quantum physics research effort

The National Science Foundation (NSF) has announced a $25 million award for a new quantum physics research center co-led by Mark Kasevich, professor of applied physics and physics at the School of Humanities and Sciences. Jason Hogan, an assistant professor of physics, and Leo Hollberg, a professor of physics, are also members of the Q-SEnSE research team.  The center will be known as Quantum Systems through Entangled Science and Engineering (Q-SEnSE) and is led by Jun Ye at the University of Colorado, Boulder.
